How to Batch Import Units of Measurement in C2W Inventory

If you need to create many Units of Measurement during your initial system setup or data migration, the Batch Import feature allows you to import them all at once instead of creating them one by one.

1. Prepare Your Data

Create a clean list of Units of Measurement in Excel or Notepad, ensuring that each unit is on its own line, contains no duplicates, and does not already exist in the system.

Example Data Format:

  • Each
  • Box
  • Case
  • Pack/Bottle
  • Carton
  • Kg/Liter/Meter/Pallet

2. Import Your Unit

01
Navigate to Settings > Manage UOM.
02
Copy your list from Excel or Notepad and paste the values into the window.
03
Click Batch Import.

The imported units are immediately added to the system and become available for selection across your items.

3. Verify the Import

01
Return to the Manage UOM screen to confirm all units appear in the list.
02
Open an item profile and verify the new units are available in the Standard Unit, Purchasing Unit, and Selling Unit dropdown menus.
Tip

Batch Import is recommended when setting up a new company or migrating data from another inventory system. Once created, a unit can be reused across all items.
