How to Create and Manage Sales Quotes in C2W Inventory

Sales Quotes work like Sales Orders but do not reduce your inventory. Use them to prepare pricing and order details for a customer before the sale is confirmed. You can create a new Sales Quote or convert an existing Sales Order into a quote.

Create a Sales Quote

From the Main Menu, navigate to Sales Order.

On the Sales Order screen, select the Customer and enter any additional order details as needed.

Select or scan the items you want to quote and enter the appropriate quantities and pricing.

Check the Quoted? box.

Click Save.

Once saved, the order is identified as a Sales Quote and does not reduce inventory.

Convert a Sales Quote to a Sales Order

When the customer is ready to proceed with the order:

Open the Sales Order Quote.

Uncheck the Quoted? box.

Click Save.

The quote is now a regular Sales Order, and you can continue with the normal Sales Order workflow.

Tip

You don’t need to create the Sales Order again. The information already entered on the quote remains on the order.

Convert an Existing Sales Order to a Sales Quote

You can also convert an existing Sales Order into a Sales Quote:

Open the Sales Order.

Check the Quoted? box.

Click Save.

The Sales Order is now identified as a Sales Quote.

Quick Reference:

  • Quoted? checked = Sales Quote
  • Quoted? unchecked = Sales Order

Find and View Sales Quotes

From the Main Menu, navigate to Sales Order > Manage Sales Order.

Use the search and filter options on the left side of the Manage Sales Order screen to locate the order.

Use the Quoted column to identify or filter Sales Quotes.

Select the Sales Quote from the list to open it.

Sales Quotes are identified by a selected checkbox in the Quoted column. You can also narrow your search using options such as date range, Order#/PO #, Customer, Item, Inventory Status, or Payment Status.
