Import Sales Orders

The Sales Order import allows users to batch import customer orders into C2W Inventory using an Excel template.

This is useful when moving Sales Orders from another system, importing customer order data from Excel, or creating multiple Sales Orders at once.

The full Sales Order import template includes customer information, billing and shipping details, order-level information, item details, quantity, unit price, tax, freight, discount, and description.

Open the Import Data Screen

Go to Settings.

Click Import Data.

Select Customer from the Data Type dropdown.

Click Download Template.

Open the downloaded Excel template.

Fill in the Excel Template

The Customer import template may include the following fields:

For the Sales Order template, required fields may include:

  • Customer Name
  • Item Number
  • Quantity
  • Unit Price

Template Fields

Enter the customer information into the template.

Customer Information
Basic Information
Billing Address
Shipping Address
Other Information
Other Information

Important Notes

  • Customer Name must match the customer record in the system or be included correctly in the import file.
  • Item Number must match an existing item in C2W Inventory.
  • Quantity and Unit Price must be entered correctly.
  • If multiple rows belong to the same Sales Order, use the same Sales Order Number for those rows.
  • If Sales Order Number is left blank, the system may create a new Sales Order number automatically, depending on the import setup.

Save and Upload the Template

After filling in the template, save the Excel file.

Close the Excel file before uploading.

Return to the Import Data screen.

Click Choose File to Import.

Select the completed Excel file.

The uploaded data will appear under the Loaded Data tab.

If everything looks correct, click Import.

Verify Imported Sales Orders

After importing, users can verify the imported Sales Orders from:

 

Sales > Manage Sales Orders

 

Users can search by Sales Order Number, Customer, or Customer PO Number if included.

Before importing, check that:
