How to Find, Deactivate, and Reactivate Customers

C2W Inventory keeps deactivated customers in the system so you can find and reactivate them later when needed. You can easily switch between active and deactivated customers from the Manage Customer screen.

If you need to change a Customer Name, you can use Copy to create a new customer with the new name without reentering all of the customer information.

Find Deactivated Customers

01
From the Main Menu, navigate to Sales > Customer.
02
On the Manage Customer screen, locate the Active Customer toggle in the Search section.
03
When the Active Customer toggle is blue, the list displays active customers.
04
Click the toggle so it turns gray to display deactivated customers.
05
Search for or select the customer you want to view.
Tip

Toggle between blue and gray anytime you need to switch between active and deactivated customers.

Deactivate a Customer

01
Make sure the Active Customer toggle is blue to display active customers.
02
Search for and select the customer you want to deactivate.
03
Click Deactivate at the top of the Manage Customer screen.

The customer will no longer appear in your active customer list, but its record remains available in C2W Inventory.

Note

The customer will no longer appear in your active customer list, but its record remains available in C2W Inventory.

Reactivate a Customer

01
Click the Active Customer toggle so it turns gray to display deactivated customers.
02
Search for and select the customer you want to reactivate.
03
Click Re-Activate.

The customer will return to your active customer list.

Need to Change a Customer Name?

A customer’s Name is unique in C2W Inventory and cannot be changed after the customer has been created.

If you need to change it, use Copy to create a new customer with the new Customer Name while keeping the existing customer information.

01
Open the customer whose Customer Name you want to change.
02
Click Copy.
03
Enter the new Customer Name.
04
Review the copied information and make any other changes as needed.
05
Click Save to create the new customer.
06
Deactivate the original customer if it is no longer needed.
Tip

Using Copy saves you from reentering the customer’s contact, billing address, shipping address, payment, and other information when only the Customer Name needs to change.
